Crescent Point Energy Corp. engages in acquiring, exploiting, developing, and holding interests in light and medium oil and natural gas properties and assets in Western Canada. The company’s operations are focused in the areas of southern Saskatchewan, and central and southern Alberta. It has oil and natural gas properties in Battrum, Cantuar, Dodsland/Plato, Lower Shaunavon, Manor, Tatagwa, Viewfield, and Bakken in Saskatchewan; and John Lake, Sounding Lake, and Worsley properties in Alberta. The company was formerly known as Crescent Point Energy Trust and changed its name to Crescent Point Energy Corp. in June 2009. The company was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Calgary, Canada.
