Company Overview

Celtic Exploration Ltd. is engaged in the exploration, development, and production of oil and natural gas primarily in Alberta, Canada. It primarily focuses in the Greater Kaybob South area and in the Resthaven area in west central Alberta. The company also operates in the Princess, Bantry, Michichi, Richdale, and Drumheller areas in southern Alberta; the Ashmont and Figure Lake areas in east central Alberta; the Fox Creek, Pedley, Karr, Lator, and the Pine Creek areas in west central Alberta; and the Utikuma Lake area in northern Alberta. As of December 31, 2010, it had 67.5 million barrel of oil equivalent of proved and probable reserves. The company was formerly known as Desco Exploration Ltd. and changed its name to Celtic Exploration Ltd. in September 2002. Celtic Exploration Ltd. was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Calgary, Canada.
