Bonterra Energy Corp. engages in the exploration and development of oil and gas properties in Canada. The company primarily holds interests in various properties located in the Pembina area of Alberta, the Shaunavon area in southwest Saskatchewan, and in northeastern British Columbia. As of December 31, 2009, it had estimated proved plus probable reserves of 35,824 million barrels of oil equivalent. The company was formerly known as Bonterra Oil & Gas Ltd. and changed its name to Bonterra Energy Corp. in January 2010. Bonterra Energy Corp. is headquartered in Calgary, Canada.
