Company Overview

Bonavista Energy Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the exploration for and development of oil and natural gas properties. It has oil and natural gas properties in Rigel, Nig Creek/Umbach, and Jedney/Blueberry areas of northeast British Columbia region; and Peace River, Grande Prairie, and Whitecourt/Cherhill areas of northwest Alberta region. The company also has oil and natural gas properties in Lloydminster, Oyen/Provos, Beacon Hills, and southeast Saskatchewan areas of eastern Alberta/Saskatchewan region; and Lethbridge/Taber/Manyberries, Carstairs/Olds, and Willesden Green areas of southern Alberta region. In addition, Bonavista Energy Corporation owns certain long-life natural gas weighted properties located in west central Alberta. As of December 31, 2009, its proved reserves were 193.2 million barrels of oil equivalent; and proved and probable reserves were 271.9 million barrels of oil equivalent. The company was formerly known as Bonavista Energy Trust and changed its name to Bonavista Energy Corporation in December 2010. Bonavista Energy Corporation was founded in 1987 and is based in Calgary, Canada.
