It holds a 100% working interest in the Rosemont property, a copper mining project with molybdenum and silver by-products that consists of 132 patented lode claims comprising approximately 1969 acres, a package of 949 unpatented lode mining claims comprising approximately 12,000 acres, and 10 blocks of fee land comprising 911 acres located in Pima County, Arizona. The company was formerly known as Hol-Lac Gold Mines, Limited and changed its name to Augusta Resource Corporation in July 1997. Augusta Resource Corporation was founded in 1937 and is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
